As an authentic and empathic counselor with attuned listening skills, my primary style is person-centered, which means I meet the needs of my clients during every step of our counseling relationship. It also means that I tailor my approach and treatment plan to each given concern that you may have. In order for clients to have great results, a genuine relationship must be established where you feel unconditional positive regard. The relationship between client and therapist (YOU and I) is the most important variable for a successful therapeutic experience!
I mainly consider myself a Humanistic Therapist: I believe each person possess the abilities within themselves and the personal responsibility to make a choice to achieve health, happiness, stability and personal growth.
The predominate types of evidence-based therapy which I practice include, but are not limited to, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and as a specialty Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. If you would like more information on the different types of therapy please do not hesitate to ask.
