Trauma

Have you experienced a disturbing event in life? Perhaps, you have this feeling, dreams, memories, that something unsettling has happened but can't quite put your finger on it. Are you the victim of a horrible accident, a shocking event, neglect, a medical condition, or abuse? Sometimes, we don't realize that these events are traumas - it's such a heavy word but sums the experience up adequately.

Trauma, unfortunately, is more common than most realize, however it doesn't make it any less difficult to deal with and it should never be normalized. Trauma has a gigantic impact on peoples lives, daily functioning, and overall well-being. On a positive note, there are many ways in which to address trauma and facilitate healing. Integrative Therapy: Mind Body Healing offers a SAFE place where one can feel heard, safe, and empowered to begin the healing process. Even though addressing trauma can trigger fear, the process does not need to be scary and the benefits from therapeutic counseling are invaluable. You do not need to relive your trauma in order to heal it.
